An AI post filter for X. Less slop as you scroll.
SlopSimple checks eligible posts in your X (Twitter) web feed for AI-writing signals. See scores beside posts, automatically hide results above your chosen threshold, and reveal any hidden post when you want to read it.
No credit card required. Desktop browser extension for X and LinkedIn.
AI detection inside your X feed.
Checking one post at a time in a separate tool interrupts your reading. SlopSimple adds detection to the feed itself: eligible posts receive an AI-writing score as you scroll, and your filter uses that result to decide which posts to collapse.
On X, a compact notice replaces a hidden post and shows its score. Click Show post to reveal the original post, its links and the score badge. That post stays visible during background scans without changing your filter threshold.
The default threshold is 80. A score must be strictly above 80 for a post to be hidden at that setting. You can raise the threshold to hide fewer posts, lower it to filter more aggressively, or turn filtering off to keep all posts visible with their scores.
What about short tweets, quoted posts and media?
Posts need 80–12,000 characters of eligible body text. Many short tweets fall below that minimum and stay unscored. Longer X posts can be checked, including collapsed text when it is already loaded in the page.
The extension does not analyze images, video, quoted-post text, comments or private messaging panes. A post that has no result stays visible, and newly loaded posts can appear before their check finishes. SlopSimple is a text filter rather than a general bot-account detector.
A high score is an uncertain writing-signal estimate. It does not prove that an account is a bot, that a post is false, or that its author used AI. Human writing can be flagged, and AI-written text can be missed. Use the score as a reading aid.
Start filtering X in your browser.
- Create your SlopSimple account. Eligible new accounts get a 7-day free trial without a credit card.
- Install for your desktop browser: Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Opera or Safari on macOS.
- Open the extension popup and choose Sign in. Your website session connects the account, or you can sign in with an email code.
- Keep X checks enabled, open X in that browser, and scroll. Set your threshold under Hide AI posts.
SlopSimple works on the desktop X website. It does not filter the native X app or mobile browsers. If you also use LinkedIn, the same extension includes a LinkedIn AI post filter with a separate checks toggle.
Keep your filter easy to adjust.
Open a score badge by hovering, keyboard focus or clicking to inspect its details. If you want to review scores before hiding anything, switch filtering off. Changing the threshold updates already checked posts. Pausing X checks restores its filtered posts.
Our AI-slop filtering guide walks through these controls and explains how to decide what to reveal.
Use the interactive threshold example to explore the filtering rule. If you are missing scores on eligible posts, follow the troubleshooting checklist.
What does the X filter cost?
The trial includes 20 analyses on X and 20 on LinkedIn per account per UTC day, shared across devices. It ends after 7 days with no automatic charge. Continuing requires a subscription: $4.99 monthly or $29.99 annually in USD, plus applicable taxes. Paid service limits still apply. See pricing and subscription terms.
Detection sends eligible post text and available creator identifiers to SlopSimple and an external provider. Raw post text is not stored in our application database. Read the privacy policy before enabling checks.
SlopSimple is independent of X and is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
